Instructions:
The
CITR In-Tank Refugium or "Safe House" is designed to provide
a culturing area for small organisms intended to be provided
as a food source for fish and other carnivores within the
main portion of the tank. The CITR also functions as a protected
area for newly added fish or invertebrates to acclimate themselves
or to allow for damaged fish or corals to regenerate damaged
tissue without the need for a separate quarantine tank. The
versatility, ease of use, and full circulation employed by
the CITR will surely meet the needs of every aquarist.
1.
Place the four suction cups firmly into the keyholes. Insert
the unplugged powerhead into the middle hole on either side
of the CITR.
2.
Place the CITR inside the tank against a wall so that the
top edge of the box is even with or slightly below the water
level in the tank to reduce surface film in the CITR.
3.
Plug in the powerhead and allow it to run for approximately
one hour before adding specimens to the CITR. If adding substrate
it is important to unplug the powerhead before doing so. Substrate
should be well-rinsed before being added to the CITR and it
should be noted that lighter substrate may be blown around
by the force of the powerhead.
The
CITR can be used in both Freshwater and Saltwater aquariums
